Ron was one of my dad's best friends. I'll never forget my one and only Canada fishing trip with Ron (along with some of my family members). Every day we paired up with someone different in our fishing boats. I'll never forget the day I got paired with Ron. One of us had caught a fish and I didn't have my video camera rolling, so I made him reenact the whole thing — pretending to have just caught the fish in his net! I'll never forget how much fun we had reenacting the whole thing and watching it later! Ron truly made that trip one of my most memorable vacations!

Ron was a dear friend through out High school and one of my roommates in college. He was instrumental in my acquiring my first real job in a field were I spend the remainder of my working career. Although We drifted apart over the years; I was lucky enough to have reconnected with him shortly before his death. I am so glad I got visit with him one more time, he will be missed by all who knew him.

I have lots of good memories of Ron/Ronnie, and they all revolve around our years at Union Public Schools. Through our high school years we had many classes together and somehow always managed to end up on the school grounds most Saturdays for our version of "flag" football after the football frenzy from Friday night had died down. Neither of us was actually on the football team, so I think it was our resolve with our gang of guys to prove to the world that we were just as tough as the boys in pads!!! Hence, the "flag" football was in name only as we endured a lot of serious hitting and tackling, then went on about our business the rest of the day. As is always the case, it seems, I wish I had taken the time and energy to know Ronnie even more, but I am so pleased to have known him as a fellow student and friend.
