Ron M. Surface's Obituary
Ron Meredith Surface, 69 of Bixby, Okla. Passed away on August 20, 2015 surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Ron was born on July 25, 1946 in Tulsa, Okla. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Herman Don and Melba Surface. One daughter Teresa Surface and one granddaughter Desiree McKim. He is survived by his two daughters Cherie Surface of Eufaula, Okla. and Meredith Lowther (Roger) of Fredericktown, OH. Three grandchildren, Shalom McKim-Dorsey, Alta McKim, and Walker Lowther. And two great grandchildren, Marcus McKim and Macie McKim-Dorsey. A brother George Surface (Nancy) of Junction, AZ, and two sisters, Aloha Surface of Owasso, Okla. And Diane Surface of Bixby Okla. and Former Spouse and Friend Sandra Dunham of Owasso, Okla. After high school Ron served in the Army National Guard from 1965 to 1968. In the late 70’s and early 80’s he owned and managed the Energy Exposition and numerous other businesses throughout his career. He was a member of the Mason’s and taught Astrology and Kabala. He became an ordained minister and was a member of the Center of Light Church in Tulsa, Okla. One of his favorite things to do was to go to lunch with his two daughters and go fishing. Ron will be missed by everyone who knew him. Services will be 12:30 pm Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, OK with a grave side service at 4:30 pm at the Hogan Cemetery, Locust Grove, OK. In lieu of flowers monetary donations can be made to the Ron Surface medical fund at Oklahoma Central Credit Union.
