Roy Binion's Obituary
Roy Denzal Binion, 90, passed away October 9, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 22, 1929 in Ada, Oklahoma to Roy and Daisy Binion. He enjoyed a successful career in sales management in the snack foods industry, setting records and being a strong motivator to those he managed. Roy had a passion for cars and could tell everyone the make and model of every car, both current and vintage, including details of the specific year. Over the years, Roy enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching all sports, and was famous for his peanut brittle and the foods he would make on the grill. Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Norma, his parents, and his sister Mary Nell. He is survived by his daughters, Sheila Turnbow and husband Robert of McAlester, OK, Sandra Vanderploeg and husband Brian of Portage, IN, Nita Branam and husband Bobby, of Bixby, OK, and Suzanne Mobley and husband Cliff of Broken Arrow, OK, grandchildren James Camp, Michael Camp, Chad Chitwood, Stephanie Chitwood, Shawn Smith, Brandy Wandres, and Joseph Mobley, 10 great grandchildren, and his sister Bobbie Bramlett and husband Bill of Loveland, CO. A funeral service will be held at Floral Haven to celebrate Roy’s life on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 3:00 with internment to follow. Special thanks to the Linden Assisted Living and Seasons Hospice for all of the loving care they provided. Donations may be made in his honor to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
