Roy Otis Hopkins' Obituary
Roy O. Hopkins, 90 years of age, of Copan, OK, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 27, 2023.
Roy was born on November 7th, 1932 to Otis Roby Hopkins and Edith Mae Danner in Depew, Oklahoma. After graduating from Drumright High School in 1950 he went on to join the US Air Force and serve in the Korean war.
In 1953, while still serving in the military, he met Jan L Henderson, and they wed in Aug 1954. They had two sons, Kyle Hopkins and Brett Hopkins.
After being honorably discharged in 1955, he began working for Phillips 66 as a Bus & Limousine Driver, kicking off a 39-year career as a chauffeur.
After retiring in 1994, Roy spent his time with his dearest wife Jan traveling, camping, and relaxing with family.
Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jan in 2017 and two sisters Gladys Harris and Ollie Boomer. He is survived by his two sons Kyle Hopkins and Brett Hopkins, three granddaughters Amanda Hopkins-Stewart, Kayla Hopkins, and Erin Rayburn, and one great grandson, Connor Johnson.
Services will be held at The Dewey Church of Christ on August 12th, 2023 at 1 PM and services will be streamed live at www.youtube.com/deweychruchofchrist
