Ruth Ann Sutton's Obituary
Ruth Ann Ellis Sutton passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 after a hard fought battle with cancer for 34 years. She was born Oct. 25, 1938 in Merced, CA. Her family moved to McAlester, OK when she was 1 year of age, where she lived until she finished high school. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, William (Roy); three children, Roy Wayne of the home, Wesley Gordon and wife, Vicki of Inola, and Rhonda Ann Friend of Catoosa; four grandchildren, Dillon Elizabeth Sutton, Whitney Ann Friend, John Michael Britt and Alexandria Nicole Graham; and one great grandchild, Hailey Ann Down. She is also survived by her mother, Naomi Selvage Ellis, wife of the late Gordon H. Ellis; sister, Norma Kincade and husband, Steve and brother, Gordon Leroy Ellis. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a well respected certified public accountant working in the Tulsa area for thirty plus years. She owned her own business for a number of years. Her name still appears on the firm of Hood, Sutton, Robinson and Freeman. Ruth was an exceptional Christian lady in every sense of the word and loved by all who knew her. Heaven is a sweeter place with her presence.
