I knew Ryan in high school. East Central. I moved prior to my senior year, so I lost touch with him. I remember Ryan to be a sweet, quiet. thoughtful person.
I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I am also sorry he battled cancer. He didn't deserve that. I'm sure he faced it with quiet strength. Until we meet on the other side, Ryan, rejoice with Jesus.
"Unsweet tea"...was Ryan's request at a restaurant we visited in Alabama. The waitress assumed he had said "sweet tea", so that is what she brought. When Ryan tasted it, he graciously again asked the waitress for unsweet tea. She looked at him like he had a third eye on his forehead. Nobody orders unsweet tea in Alabama. "Unsweet tea" became code (between us) for unexpected surprises/results.
Ryan was a beautiful person with the greatest sense of humor and wit. Tom & I always enjoyed his stories and trivia knowledge so fun to be around. He and I shared a love for our Miatas! He was a terrific husband, dad and friend. We will miss him sorely.
I feel so blessed that over the last several years Russ & I were able to spend some time hanging out with Ryan & Annette. We had some great times! Ryan & Russ sharing endless movie & music trivia with one another! Russ is really going to miss those times. I will miss Ryan’s quick wit and sweet smile. Our love goes out to you Annette and to Spencer & Ian. ❤️
