Ryan Blake Moore's Obituary
Ryan Blake Moore passed away peacefully in his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, on May 2nd, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 64 years old. Through every challenge, Ryan fought bravely and valiantly—with unwavering strength, deep grace, and quiet determination.
Born on November 29, 1960, in Tulsa, Ryan was the youngest of George and Ganna Moore. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, father and brother, Randall Moore. Ryan graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa in 1979. He continued his academic journey at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 1985. During those formative years, he found lifelong friendship and camaraderie through the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity—bonds that remained close to his heart.
It was also in 1985 that Ryan met the love of his life, Annette Marie. From that moment, the better part of his life truly began. The two were married on October 14, 1995, and together built a life rich with laughter, resilience, and deep devotion to one another. In 1996, they moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, and in 1999, they put down their roots in Fort Worth, Texas, where they began their family and raised their two sons.
Ryan is survived by his devoted wife, Annette, and his sons, Spencer Coury Moore and Ian Davis Moore—his proudest legacy. He is also survived by many beloved family members, friends, and colleagues who were touched by his kindness, wit, and steady presence.
A man of many passions and deep curiosity, Ryan found his joy in trivia, board games, cars, sports, and sharing laughter with others. He was a loyal and true cowboy of Oklahoma State University and a Minnesota Vikings fan. He relished Wheels with Ed Wallace every Saturday morning. He loved the grooves of Emerson Lake and Palmer, Steely Dan, and Santana. Only Ryan could find both art and order in the cells of an Excel spreadsheet. He adored his Miata.
Ryan built a successful and respected career in environmental engineering, but above all, he was defined by the love he gave and received. His heart was fullest when surrounded by his family and friends—his true life's work.
In one of his final moments of clarity, Ryan offered a simple, sincere reminder to his son Ian: “Rotate your tires.” A statement so perfectly him—practical, thoughtful, and quietly full of love.
