Sam was born in Grove, Oklahoma and was raised in Pineville, Missouri and later moved to Aurora, Missouri. After graduation from Aurora High School, he relocated to Tulsa, where he worked nights at the Post Office while attending Read Obituary
I’m sorry for your loss. Many years ago, our family lived in Broken Arrow, where we were members of St. Anne church. Through our church and St. Anne school associations, we had the delight to know the Muskrats. Back in the day, Sam played on the church softball team with my dad, Richard Erbert. Us kids loved Mr. Muskrat’s humor and good nature.
He was my dad’s trusted financial advisor and friend. May God bring you comfort as you grieve!

I was ushered into the Koehler family by Sam with the nickname Billie! I will truly miss hearing him say “hi Billie”. He was a great brother-in-law with great advice. He will truly be missed by the family! ❤️🙏
Mr. Muskrat (Sam) was my Sunday School teacher at St. Anne's Catholic Church during one of my early high school years. I was also friends with his daughter Kathy in high school. I am really sorry to hear of his passing, and I will remember him as a light hearted person with a ready laugh. My heart goes out to Gladys and her children Kathy & Keith
I worked for Sam while I was in high school. He was young and just getting his accounting firm started. I may have been his first employee. I didn’t want to learn about accounting but he patiently taught me and turns out that became my lifetime vocation. He was a great guy and taught me so much. Prayers for his family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
