Sue was always a good friend to me, known her for many, many years and have some great memories, too many to write here, but to her family, know that Sue is a special lady and her spirit will always live in your memories. Once, about 25 or 30 years ago, a bunch of us went on a ski trip right outside Colorado Springs, Sue and I were the only 2 that had to be back to work a day early, so we decided to fly home, but a severe snow storm changed all that, we spent the entire nite at Staples Airport in Denver along with many, many others, sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall. The airport folks offered free food and booze and so naturally, we took advantage of it, We had a great time and met lots of folks, exchanged stories with them and each other. It was a priceless time and I'll always remember that…Rest well my friend till we meet again! Gary Ballard

Many memories of Sue but the best memory that will always be planted in my mind was Sue's smile. Her smile opened many doors and many hearts. My whole family got to travel with Sue, from bus rides to Dallas and St. Louis, caravans to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to a Mexican cruise. I just know Phil is with her now. My family has known Sue for a long time. From her taking bus trips to watch the St. Louis Cardinals play. Making those trips to watch the Dallas Cowboys play. I've been on those bus trips with her since I was 6 months old. Sue would always tell people that would go on those bus trips. This young lady was the youngest person to go to a St. Louis Cardinals game. I know my family is really going to miss traveling with her. Here the other day when I last seen her she had said. I'm plaining a bus trip to watch the Cards play next year. I told her Sue you know I'll be ready. Amanda Moseby

To Sue's Family, What a wonderful person Sue was and oh what fun she always had on all the Safari Travel trips that she accompanied my father-in-law Earl Lay on. Through the many years of Safari Travel I had several opportunities to visit with her. I still have a picture on a trip that Safari Travel made to Grove, OK. The bus driven by Leroy and Earl riding shotgun was hijacked in the middle of Highway 59 coming into town by Williamae Dud and her cousins Speck (Ron Lay) and Dot Dud (me). We got on the bus and spent the day on a tour of our wonderful little town. At the end of the day we went to a great little diner outside of town. Speck and Dot still dressed in their duds. It was a fun day and one that I will remember forever. In the days and months ahead may you to remember the great fun that she was always up for. It is so very hard to loose someone in your family especially one that was such a bright star.
