Shawn Eric Jolliffe's Obituary
Shawn Eric Jolliffe was born March 10, 1973 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He passed away December 2, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shawn was very loving and compassionate person. One of his compassion’s was ringing the the bells for the Salvation Army during the holidays as he loved seeing the smiles it would bring to peoples faces knowing they were helping the less fortunate. He was a great friend and had a fabulous sense of humor. Shawn was gifted with the talent of being able to identify your weaknesses and teach you how to become a stronger person. And would be your biggest advocate on the sidelines of his friends’ life. He was very logical, smart, charasmatic and was also a very Sarcastic person that kept you laughing. He was such an animal lover- every animal that he met just fell in love with him. Lokie, the family’s pet, was Shawn’s whole world and his baby boy who he spoiled all the time and Lokie loved every minute of it. When Shawn came home from work, he gave Lokie plenty of kisses and got plenty of kisses in return.Shawn loved to watch the history channel and was really into horror movies. Halloween was his favorite holiday. He loved to talk about Marvel characters with his nephew Hunter. Shawn also played World of Warcraft and in doing so developed many friendships from all over the world that became family to him. Shawn worked as security at River Spirit for the last year. Shawn loved being there and got used to working the overnight shift. He made many friendships that he cherished.Being of Native American, Shawn was proud to be Creek and Cherokee. He loved wolves and has always said his spirit animal is a wolf . He was just as proud to have been in the armed forces serving in the Navy from 1993-1996 as a Combat line medic and was honorably discharged. In August 1998 Shawn met the love of his life Nancy through a mutual friend and later married in Oct 2000. They just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. One of their favorite little getaways was to always go to the zoo to see the animals. When they went on vacations.The Family took a vacation to Walt Disney World in 2006. This was Shawn’s first time going and loved every minute of it and before the trip was over Shawn was already planning the next trip back.Shawn will be missed by all who knew and loved him Shawn is survived by his Wife, Nancy Jolliffe; Mother & Step Father, Rita & Joe Morrison; Father, Ron Jolliffe ; Sister, Jessica Morrison; Uncle, Jim Jolliffe, Aunt, Sandy Villanueva; Uncle, Elias Villanueva ; Uncle, Steven Reynolds, Cousins, Marcus Toney, Mikah Toney, Mindy Jessie, Mikhy Whitten, Rita Cuellar, Matt Reynolds, Kenny Reynolds, Kathy Reynolds; Father in law and Mother in law, Jim & Martha Thoma; Sisters in law’s, Kathy Gibson& Stacy Thoma, Brothers in law’s, Sean Gibson & Chris Thoma; Niece’s Bailey Thoma, Aspen Gisbon, Katilyn Thoma; Nephew’s, Hunter Gibson, Matthew Thoma, Lincoln Hull.Aunt, Suzanne Jackson, Cousin’s, Jennifer Hogan, Mike Jackson, Justin Hogan,Jackson Hogan and Jase Hogan. Shawn was preceded in death by Grandmothers, Mary Jolliffe, Lera Reynolds, Grandfathers, Leon Reynolds ,Cecil McCombs, Bill Jolliffe and Uncles, Roy Jolliffe, David Reynolds, Willard Jackson Viewing will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm., Thursday, December 10, 2015, in the Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S. 129th E Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
