Shelly Jo Milinichik's Obituary
Shelly Jo Milinichik, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, Aunt and friend, born Wednesday, November 11, 1981 in Sacramento, California to her loving parents, Jim & Joanne Boston; went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born and raised in California, and Ohio; Shelly served her country honorably and proudly, enlisting in the United States Marine Corps as a Motor Vehicle Operator in May 2001 and reenlisting in 2007. As a proud United States Marine, Shelly earned the rank of Sergeant and completed two deployments (2003 and 2008-2009) in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. During her service Sergeant Milinichik was awarded the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement medal X2, The Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal X3, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with four stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Shelly also received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Transportation and Logistics, and had just finished her Masters of Arts in Transportation and Logistics. Shelly enjoyed many things in her free time but what she was truly passionate about was her family, especially her precious son Jaxton who she treasured. Fond memories will always be cherished of Shelly as she will be deeply missed by all those who had their lives touched by her whether in the Marine Corps or out. Shelly is survived by her beloved son, Jaxton Jay Milinichik, Husband Jay Milinichik, Father Jim Boston, Mother Joanne Boston, Siblings David and Jennifer Boston. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4:00PM till 8:00PM at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, Crematory & Cemetery in Sacramento, California. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00AM at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, Crematory & Cemetery in Sacramento, California. A graveside service will follow at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road; Dixon, California 95620. Services have been entrusted to Floral Haven Funeral Home, Floral Shop, Crematory & Memorial Gardens, 6500 S 129th E Ave; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 74012 and Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, Crematory & Cemetery in Sacramento, California 95838.
