My best memories of childhood were spent with my grandmother, I was with her more than my parents mostly. She taught me about so many things, English, how to write, as a child she would have us write short stories daily. She taught me about the world, my first non-English word "Mushi Mushi" for the word hello in Japanese. My grandmother living in Asia many years taught me to love everything worldly and foreign. Mostly she taught me to be who I want no matter what and to aim high in life. You will always be loved and missed!
Condolences to all. Shirley was a cousin we always enjoyed visiting with. When the family would come to visit Grandpa and Grandma Barnes, we would all get together and play all those children's games. Shirley was so pretty In case you wonder where I fit in the family, we were first cousins. Her Mom Viola and my Mom Ura were sisters.
