Ta-Kha'et M. Gibbs' Obituary
On September 28, 1978, a precious bundle of joy was delivered to Edward Gibbs and Leota Brown Gibbs in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their precious bundle of joy was a beautiful baby girl. Her parents named her Ta-Kha’Et Mimnet. She was their fourth child. Ta-Kha’Et’s parents taught her at a very young age about God and his Commandments for living a Christian life. She was obedient to God, a wonderful person, and a blessing to her parents throughout her life. Ta-Kha’Et attended Jenks Public Schools. She graduated from Jenks High School, Class of 1997. After High School, Ta-Kha’Et attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was a Delta Sigma Theta soror. Ta-Kha’Et was also a member of Typros (Tulsa’s Young Professionals). She was a Girl Scout for many years and received numerous awards and medals. Ta-Kha’Et was an employee of Public Service Company of Oklahoma. Ta-Kha’Et was an avid community worker. She was dependable and liked to do whatever she could to enhance other people’s lives. Ta-Kha’Et often put the needs of others before her own. She was a self-less person. Ta-Kha’Et loved to travel. She would go solo or with her Fiancée, the late Henry Davis. Ta-Kha’Et was very good with electronics. She was the family’s “go to” person when there were problems with their computers, televisions or cell phones. She was Miss Fixit. Ta-Kha’Et was an excellent Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Ta-Kha’Et”. Ta-Kha’Et loved them dearly and showed it by spoiling them to the core.
