Tom was my brother-in-law, my friend, just like a brother to me. We met in the feed store in gravette about 1993 and we great friends from them on. We ride horses all around gravette and sulphur springs. We bucked hay in the barns for winter for the horses and cows. Tom would watch my horses and cows when I had to go out of town on business. I never worried about things cause Tom was very trustworthy and I thought he liked doing it. I even gave him an appolosa stud colt that he bred his mare to and had a great colt that I don't think he ever got to ride.
Turned out that the home where Tom lived had been a dairy farm of my friend in sulphur springs dad. So we all had a little in common. We had a friend named Tim from New Mexico, me from Texas, tom having lived in both places, we were all cowboys at heart and had horses, so we put a lot of square bales in the barns.
Later I bought a round baler and equipment. I talked Tom into helping me, he said he did not have any experience so don't yell at him. We did a lot of hay for several years. He reminds me that one time we were cutting uay by the gravette hospital that I made him so made hollering at him he wanted to quit and go home. But he rode with me and had no ride. Lol. We joked about that for years. Sorry Tom if I made you mad , I did not mean to.
Eventually he introduced me to my wife Linda we moved away to Kansas and back to Texas. I grew up in canyon Texas, born in dimmitt Texas. Had lots of family in the dimmitt, muleshoe area. I was always amazed to married a girl that grew up so closer to me. LaJuanna was so great we loved her the moment we met her. They used to stop by in the motorhome to visit us when they traveled thru the Texas panhandle.
Tom and I used to get to take turns mowing the drive way in gravette if I could beat him to it. Lol
So may wonderful memories of Tom and his late wife LaJuanna. Things I'll remember fondly and lovingly for the rest of my life

Sorry for your loss. Tom was a true friend for many years. He will be greatly missed.
