Thomas "Tom" Patrick Shannon's Obituary
Thomas “Tom” Patrick Shannon, 75, passed from this life on April 3, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tom was born on February 21, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Elmo Levi and Victoria (Anderson) Shannon. He served and retired after 42 1/2 years from the U.S. Army with the rank of Command Sergeant Major and also, retired as a traffic manager for Amerada Hess. He met and married Janice Goodrich on July 18, 1995 in Eureka Spring, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Paula Shannon; parents, Pat and Victoria Shannon; and sister, Gracia Adams. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Shannon; son, Mark P. Shannon and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Alisha Brasher and husband, Shane, Amber Shannon and John Odle, Meagan Tyre; great grandchildren, Brody Brasher and Mason Brasher; nephew, Doug Bray; niece, Dee Colvin and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Donation may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
