I hope my Pa realized that I loved him so much! My Grandpa was a very quiet, intelligent, quit witted, humorous man that was always young at heart, who could also be very onery when he wanted to. I always remember him walking by my Granny and goosing her a lot. He was a man who loved to watch old school wrestling and loved to play golf when he could. Him and my Granny both always had a lot of wisdom, he was able to retire early at the young age of 55 and the older I get, the more I realize how impressive that is. They both sacrificed a lot in life, but made the best of things with what they had and were very frugal as well. Him and my Granny always, always took good care of me. They both made Christmas' and birthdays very memorable and special while growing up. Always went that extra mile to care for me and all their children/grandchildren! They both leave behind a wonderful legacy, as well as my other grandparents (who I love dearly), which will be passed to my grandchildren/great-grandchildren as long as I live. I learned a lot from the both of them. Pa, I love you and will miss you!
I always enjoyed Verle's sense of humor, and how he always found a subtle but fun way to make fun of Rich and I and our horrible golf skills during in high school / college days. He was fun to be around. He will be missed.
