Vessie Nichols of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by family October 30, 2021. She was born on July 27th 1939 in Parsons Kansas to Mack and Lonnie Mae (Foster) Ware. She grew up in Parsons Read Obituary

I have wonderful memories of Aunt Vessie. She was a bubbly, humorous and beautiful woman. She favored my own Mother (Alberteen, her older sister) enough that one summer I remember (in my grade school years) tugging on her sweater, looking up at her and calling her Mommy. She just looked down and smiled. She was always so kind to us. We always had fun visiting her, Uncle Art and our cousins in the summers. I feel blessed to have known her.

Yes we can say Vessie had 9 lives, we don’t want to overlook the life that will count the most, that is, the resurrection. I look forward to embracing her and share the joys we had and How all things turned out at the end. It”s going to be a beautiful thing when she is resurrected, she will be able to exercise her creativity in perfect health. I cherish the statement found in Hebrews 6:10 which says, “For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones.” So, we look forward to seeing Arthur and Vessie reunited again and they will never have to worry about that enemy death tearing you two apart ever again. (Hebrews 2:14) I know Vessie will want nothing less than for her entire family to share in this reunion. Love you guys, see you soon😘😍
In my sophomore year at the College of Emporia, my roommate and I were dorm suitemates of Vessie and her roommate. What a fun time we had! Always smiling and so easy live with, Vessie made dorm life even better. When she was crowned our Homecoming Queen, I was so happy and proud for her. She touched many lives in those years, as well as beyond.
