Virgil Carl Payne, 101 years old, passed from this life, January 24, 2015. Carl was born April 17, 1913, to Alonzo Henry and Martha Ellen (Wilkins) Payne, in Maysville, Arkansas.He married the love of his life, Octavia Smith, January 8, 1938. They were married 75 years, when she passed from this life.Carl will be dearly missed by his daughter, Nancy (Phillip) Medlin and son, Eddie (Sandra) Payne; 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; sister Hope (Payne) Colbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.Carl is preceded in death by his parents; and the love of his life, his wife, Octavia Payne (April 2, 2012); sons, Carl Lee Payne and Tommy Eugene Payne; and 5 siblings.A celebration of life service will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 27, 2015, in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
