I will miss Wally's big smile, beautiful singing voice, and his good works for the Lord. I knew him from our membership at Sheridan Avenue United Methodist Church. He was always trying to do so much for others even through his own troubles. He will be sadly missed by many people. I send my condolences to Wally's family and friends.
Wally a big part of my childhood was riding the go-chart, climbing the willow tree in your back yard, and playing basketball and baseball with you. When I think of the words "good neighbors", you and your family are the first that come to my mind.Wally had a big heart and compassion for all people. A piece of my childhood has gone. Cousin Lea & Aunt Fredde, Charlie, Mom & I send our thoughts & love to you. I just visited with Lea and reminisced about our backyard visits with you'all long ago riding the go-carts made by Uncle Gene. That was a fun visit for Carol Anne & me and Daddy always loved to see what Uncle Gene had built. Weren't those fun days? And, now, Wally, Daddy, Uncle Gene & Carol are looking down on us! Love you always!
Wally had a heart of gold & as big as all outdoors. Wally & Sallie were so good to me when I first moved to Tulsa 31 years ago, They helped me get started in a new church & gave me a "Tulsa family". Be- tween basketball, trips to Texas, & fish- ing at Keystone, life was a series of laughter & adventures. I shall never forget you, & always miss you "big brother".
Wally will always be remembered for his cheerful outlook and desire to help others and will be missed by many. I know that he is with his Heavenly Father and is happy in heaven.
