Wallace Eugene Schwaninger Born November 27, 1954 in Kansas City, MO. Died November 26, 2010 in Tulsa, OK. Father to Kimberly Long, Nola Schwaninger and Paul Schwaninger;Son of Fredde Patsy Lucas Schwaninger, Lyle Eugene Schwaninger (deceased); Brother to Lea Wimmer; Grandpa to Nathanael Long, Keondre Westbrook, Stewart Schwaninger, Adam Weaver, Alex Weaver, Ian Schwaninger and Isabelle, Emily. Preceded in death by grandparents Louis Eugene and Louisa Marie Schwaninger, Jesse Amanda and Fred Wallace Lucas. He was married to Sallie Schwaninger for many years then was a companion for Kathy Klutts in the previous several years. Wally was an active member of the community, sang in church and worked with various ministries such as Goodwill, John 3:16 and Celebrate Recovery. He was a member of University United Methodist Church and previous member at Sheridan Avenue United Methodist Church. He was an Eagle Scout, God and Country and Troop Leader for Patrol Troop 35. He worked for City of Tulsa first in Parks and Recreation, then in Waste Water Treatment, and finally as a Water Treatment Plant Operator for many years before becoming disabled a few years ago. He still enjoyed coaching, singing, fishing and substitute teaching. He attended school in Tulsa at Lindberg Elementary, Bell Junior High and East Central High School graduating in 1973. He received his Associate of Arts from NEO A&M in May 1975. He received his Associates of Arts from Tulsa Community College in December 1995. He continued his education further at NSU with a Bachelor of Science degree.
