Lit a candle in memory of Walter Drew
I remember Walter and Becky from Glenhaven Free Methodist Church. I grew up with them and their children, Alan and Roger. Walter and Becky were our Youth Director's at Glenhaven. They were both SO FUN to be around and we had a LOT of GOOD times together. Then later in life, my husband Paul and I use to go over to Walter and Becky's house and play cards and hang out with them, Walter was a Teaser, he loved to tease me. Really ENJOYED being around them, SO SORRY for Walter's passing!!! He was a Dear Man!!! LOVED THEM BOTH!!!
I have had the honor of knowing Walter and Becky for over 40 years. Walter was like a second father to me, always willing to help me out if I ever needed anything done around the house or car. Had the honor of working with him at Glenhaven Free Methodist. He guided me in allot of ways and was always so supportive to me. If there were ever two people I could count to pray for me it was Walter and Becky. I love them like they were my parents, and I would call them mom and dad. Walter is much happier now with no pain, sickness, sadness. Heaven has received another angel and he is rejoicing with God right now. Love you Becky and will be praying for you. Joe Sides
Dad always regretted that the family situation after their mother's passing had them all apart for their childhood years. He loved all of his brothers and always looked forward to seeing them.
I never spent a lot of time with Uncle Walt when I was a child but got to know him when I was an adult. Walt and Becky were there so many times helping me get through my mom's illnesses and helping with my dad. I would like to belIeve we became friends. It is hard to believe the last of the Drew "boys" have left us. Rest in peace. All your brothers were waiting for you. Much love to you Becky.
