Wendy Marie Turner's Obituary
Wendy Marie Turner, 40 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born July 29, 1981 in Gainesville, Florida to her parents, William Best Thompson, Jr. MD and Susan Gay Rittenhouse Thompson Detwiler. On June 11, 2011 she took the hand of Joel Alan Turner and they were married.
Wendy is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Joel Alan Turner of the home; her mother, Susan Detwiler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her father, William Best Thompson, Jr. MD and his wife Ermine Hagen Thompson of Belleview, Florida; her mother-in-law, Amy Turner of Wilburton, Oklahoma; four siblings, Sarah Craig and husband Daniel of Lomita, California, Alex Detwiler and wife Jillian of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Grant Detwiler and wife Corie of Littleton, Colorado and Kyle Detwiler and wife Jordan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandfather-in-law, Don Hendrickson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and many friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her much loved and loving step-father, Karl Norman Detwiler, MD.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Asbury United Methodist Church, Mason Chapel.
