Willa Frink’s Obituary Willa Frances Allen Frink was born on November 21, 1926 in Bedford, Indiana to Harry Graham and Amy Hilton Allen. Willa was transported to her heavenly home, attended by her daughter, Edie Amy Frink Winters of Tulsa, OK, on August 28, 2015 at the age of 88. She was the devoted and loyal wife of 56 years to local celebrity, Bill Frink, ABC-TV sports announcer in Chicago, Illinois. Willa was a graduate, Magna Cum Laude, from Western College for Women in Oxford, OH in 1948 majoring in English literature with minors in history and Spanish. Willa was a longtime teacher of many subjects in public schools in many locations, New Trier High School librarian, devout student of Christian Science, and a published poetess. She was a volunteer at the Mitchell Indian Museum and avid supporter of the fine arts. She is preceded in death by her husband in July 2005, her sister, Harriet Allen Rans in 2006, her daughter, Nancy Allen Frink Sherer, in August 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Edie Amy Frink Winters, her son-in-law, John Fox Winters, her granddaughters, Amy Christine Delamaide and Joy Allison Delamaide Gasper. She also is survived by another son-in-law: David Sherer and two grandsons: William and Michael Sherer. Services and interment are private.
