I delivered Meals on Wheels to Bill for years. I always looked forward to stopping to see him. He always had a smile and usually a story! I used to bring him cucumbers from our garden and he always loved them and told about eating them as a kid. One time he couldn’t find his phone and wanted to be sure he had it in case his son called. I found the number on the Meals on Wheels list. We called it and then had to search for it from the sound (took several calls). Finally found it in his shoe! He remembered putting it there so he wouldn’t forget it when he went out. Will always think of him fondly. I was sick and missed two months of meal deliveries so I just found out about his passing. He will be missed.
