Family was the biggest part of his life and the focus of his retirement. Bill retired after 42 years of service to the Pentagon. Bill was big on supporting family and taking care of everyone. He was a father to many. He was a mentor to even more whether at work or in the community.
In his retirement Bill enjoyed many things from stocking the local pond with Koi and feeding them, to collecting gnomes, books, and other things. Bill was big on the outdoors and taking care of the trees and bushes around the house. He loved to stay busy and go for walks through the neighborhood talking to the neighbors. Bill loved working out throughout his life. Lifting weights and dumbbells. Bill was a prankster and loved trying to scare his family members. Bill loved spoiling his grandchildren and talking about them. Bill also loved Puzzles, always getting a new one and putting it together. His children loved trying to find difficult puzzles for him to put together.
