William (Bill) Edward Shouse, Jr., 98 of Tulsa, OK
Passed away Friday, December 22, 2023
William (Bill) Shouse Jr born in St Louis, Mo on December 12, 1925 and grew up there. He lettered in sports in High School and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds out of high school but joined and served in War ll winning a Purple Heart.
Married to Dorothy Shouse, who preceded him in death on December 27, 2018. He is survived by his three children, Connee Broas (husband Robin), Billy Shouse and Leah Shouse.
Two grandchildren, Jesse GreenHill, Camen McHan.
Three great grandchildren, Stella GreenHill, Mosely GreenHill and Hazel GreenHill
Bill was a noted minister of music in several churches throughout Tulsa and a longtime member of 1st United Methodist in Tulsa. He directed a singing group called “The New Christian Minstrels” for several years in 1969-70 and touched many lives. He was an alumni of Tulsa University where he earned his Masters Degree in music. He was an avid supporter of the sports programs and a member of the Tulsa Hurricane Club.
Funeral to be held on December 29, 2023 at 10:00 am at First Methodist Tulsa.
