Steve and Kathy Prejean adored their Uncle Bill. He was a funny, sweet and generous man. You can still tell he was a loving and positive influence in his family. We will cherish our memories with Bill.
My sincere condolences to the Twilley family. I am heartbroken to hear of your loss. I will miss seeing your dad at the store and around town. He was a good man, and touched the lives of all he met.
Bill Twilley is the very BEST man that God ever created. He is God's standard for a "Good Man." He is the most beloved man I have ever known. His daughter-in-law for over 42 years, Gayle Conner
Mr. Twilley was always helping at church and in the community and will sure be missed! I am so happy you are reunited with your sweet Sandra.
Such a pleasure to know. He and I called each other Cuz. You know everyone from Arkansas are cousins! He will be missed by a lot of people at Jenks First Baptist Church! He was always there to help in any way, in a positive, ALWAYS manner!!
My parents and I had the pleasure of having William and Sandy as our neighbors for as long as I can remember. They were always so pleasant and took such pride on their garden and yard. This last year has been extremely hard losing Sandy and my father, Jim Wheat and now William. God rest their souls as their is a joyful neighborly reunion up in Heaven!! Please know that you are in our hearts and we will be praying for you all.Shelby (Wheat) Willis
Bill & Sandra have always been 2 of our best friends We met in Jenks when our boys were in high school together We all went to FBC & enjoyed visiting & making homemade ice cream together. Bill always shared his garden produce with us. Condolences to the family at their passing. Bill & Ann Thompson
I first met Twilley @ Jenks FBC while working as a cook in their old building. He came in one day, with his little blue vest on, & said, "I'll show you mine, if you'll show me yours!" As I looked dumbfounded & wondering what in the world this old man was talking about, he pulled his shirt aside to show me where his pacemaker had been implanted! He had heard that I had just been implanted with one. From then on, it was instant "who could one up the other!" He always had a story for me each week & it usually began with "hey Kid!" I was privey to see the picture of his "Pride & Joy"… literally! He was always like Will Rogers in that he never met a stranger he didn't like! I was fortunate to spend time with him at his home learning new gardening tips, talking about all his trees naming each one, sipping a cold drink, & receiving his veggies to put out for Wednesday night church dinner. He always shared his abundance with everyone! Many times we talked about his dying twice & how he was brought back. He remembered that peace that he felt, wondering why he was still here, & waiting with anticipation for what was ahead. He was always ready to go! Now he is enjoying that restful peace! Tuesday afternoon, I was putting away my Christmas ornaments & was carefully wrapping up my stainglass nativity scene, Twilley had blessed me with many years ago & was thinking about him, wondering what he had been up to recently & chuckling at some of his stories. Later that evening, my daughter called to tell me he had passed at home that afternoon. I feel blessed that God brought him to remembrance that day & the joy we shared for years telling stories & laughing with Sandy on their deck. I certainly learned a lot from Mr. & Mrs. Twilley about how to age gracefully, enjoy life, & share Jesus with anyone they met. Rest in peace sweet dear friend! Jackie Oats
