May 16, 1951 - December 15, 2020
Charles "David" Lamb, 69 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born on May 16, 1951 in Wichita Falls, Texas to his parents, Charles William Lamb and Laura Dean Brooks Lamb. He married the love of his life, Renee Marie Bochat on January 30, 1982 in Houston, Texas and they have shared in over 38 wonderful years making memories together. They had three beautiful children, traveled the world together, and shared an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. David spent 44 years in the engineering and project execution sectors of the oil and gas industry, first at KBR and later with Chevron. He functioned in several engineering and management positions while also serving numerous years on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers – Section VIII Code Committee. During his career he worked and travelled internationally, having lived, worked and/or traveled to over 75 countries and all seven continents. After he retired, he worked as an instructor at the Tulsa Welding School, fulfilling his desire to impart the professional knowledge and experience he accumulated to the next generation. Truly a modern Renaissance man, there seemed to be nothing David could not do. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies including: tending to his flourishing vegetable garden, honing his photography skills on the African Savanna, playing his favorite class rock and country tunes on the guitar, and self-publishing his own book on Biblical Hebrew Poetry. Generosity, kindness and dedication to the Lord were all central to David’s life. He was a man of great talents yet immense humility. Most of all, David loved his wife and children, devoting his life to ensuring they were loved and well-taken care of. David is survived by his loving wife, Renee Lamb of the home; three children, Aaron Lamb of Jacksonville, Florida, Moriah Lamb of Freehold, New Jersey and Nissi Lamb of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Rebecca Harmel and her husband Chris of Wichita Falls, Texas; and David's favorite pup, Toby aka Toby Wan Kenobi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Lamb. He had a well-lived life, and was a well-loved man.
