Eileen Baker

Born Margaret Eileen Lewis, the daughter of J. Lloyd and Gladys Metcalf Lewis, Eileen lived in Tulsa from 1928 until 1989. She graduated from Central High School in 1936 and studied at Oklahoma School of Business for two years. She and high school classmate Glenn Ellsworth Baile were married in 1938 and raised five children. She later worked as accountant for Auto Pilots Central. Widowed in 1975, she married Dale E. Cooke in 1978. Widowed a second time in 1981, she met Robert F. Baker in 1983; they were married in 1987 and lived in Pittsburg, KS and Carthage, MO until his death in 2008. Eileen was an avid amateur birdwatcher and nature and music lover. She was a former member of the Audubon Society, the Tulsa Bicycle Club, and the Joplin area Good Sam Club. In the 1970â??s and â??80â??s she played French horn in the Tulsa Community Band and the Southeast Kansas Symphony Orchestra. In Tulsa, she was a member of All Soulsâ?? Unitarian Church.She was also preceded in death by two of her daughters, Margaret Merrilee Baile Lucas and Kathy Marie Bailey, and is survived by sons Lawrence Ellsworth Baile and his wife Marcia of Ridgecrest, CA, and Gregory Lewis Baile and his wife Linda of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter Laurel Elizabeth Baile and her partner Jorge Gutierrez Perera of Madrid, Spain; stepdaughters Debbie Ferelli-Blow and her husband Wayne Blow of Carthage, MO, and Melinda Baker Randolph of Wilson, AR; stepson Bobby Baker of Joplin, MO; sister Ina E.L. Freeman of Garland, TX; 16 grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to (support research into Parkinsonâ??s Diseaseâ??specific organization TBC).
