Glen Carl Grimes
April 8, 1933 - October 24, 2004
Glen Carl Grimes, a devoted husband, father and papa was born on April 8, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to Olan and Lucille Grimes and passed on to be with the Lord on October 24, 2004 in Oklahoma City after a long and courageous battle with ALS. Rudiene, his very devoted and loving wife for 35 years, survives him. A son, Dr. Guy Grimes and wife, Roxanna, and two grandchildren, of California, two brothers, David and Walter Cwiklewski and one sister, Mary Jane Soss, and a host of nieces and nephews from Ottowa Lake, Michigan, also survives him. A host of friends, neighbors and medical technicians will miss him and the positive attitude they witnessed during his battle with this disease. Glen served as a Seabee in the United States Navy for four years. He was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 584, Glen also worked as a mechanic, truck driver, Iron Worker, and later for the Federal Aviation Administration until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of The Church On The Move He will be remembered most for his sparkling blue eyes, ornery snicker, competitive domino game, hard working ethic, and love of His savior. Glen loved people, his church (Church On The Move) fixing things, building projects, finding a bargain, trading cars, walking his dog, and beating the odds in life.Survived By: Rudiene, his very devoted and loving wife for 35 years; a son, Dr. Guy Grimes and wife, Roxanna, and two grandchildren, of California; two brothers, David and Walter Cwiklewski; one sister, Mary Jane Soss; and a host of nieces and nephews from Ottowa Lake, Michigan.
