Harold Wayne Cline
April 1, 1941 - March 2, 2022
Harold Wayne Cline, 80 years old, of Tulsa Oklahoma passed away on March 2nd 2022. Wayne was born in Earlton Kansas on April 1st 1941 to Everett Cline and Eliza Mae Whistler. He attended Washington high school in Kansas City, KS. He was a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute and used these principles to guide his personal and professional life. He was a patented inventor, automobile dealer, and father. He invented the double-walled pickup truck bedliner for small pickups to prevent rusting and dents. This bedliner was marketed nationwide and produced and manufactured in Bixby, Oklahoma. Eventually, the auto manufactures started incorporating the double-walled bed in their production. Ever the businessman, Wayne pivoted and sold the car parts business and opened his first used car lot at 11th and Sheridan in the mid-1980s. He was successful for many years as an automobile dealer and was a member of the Tulsa Automobile Dealers Assoc. (TADA) and Oklahoma Automobile Dealers Assoc. (OADA), and National Automobile Dealers Assoc.(NADA 20 Group). Prior to retiring he operated, and owned seven auto dealerships in the North East Oklahoma region. Wayne had a creative restless mind that was curious about the world traveling to 5 of the 7 continents. He had a wry and dry sense of humor and loved to golf and digitize vinyl records. He loved to drive around Tulsa in his Cadillac convertible and blare sounds of chickens clucking to get a laugh out of the drivers. He will be missed for his humor and devotion to his family. Wayne was predeceased in death by his brothers Calvin Euguene Turley, James Dale Cline, Donald Lee Cline. His surviving brothers are Ralph Vernon Cline, Gerald Dean Cline, and Larry Allen Cline. Wayne is survived by his wife of 60 years Judith Ann Cline. Wayne is also survived by his daughter Debbie Ann Standish-Hunter and two grandchildren Chad Anthony Standish and Katie Lynn St. John and her husband Chris St. John and a great-granddaughter Mara Jade St. John. He is also survived by his second daughter Denise Lynn Bodily and husband Robert Mark Bodily II, grandson Robert Mark Bodily III and wife Leah Beal Bodily, granddaughter Maegan Noel Bodily, and Mason Wayne Bodily.
