Ilda Amado Soares, 89, of Miratejo, Portugal, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 20, 2020 at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. She was born May 13, 1931 in Leopoldville, Belgian Congo to Joaquim José Ferreira and Custódia Galhardo Ferreira. She was a member of her local church, Centro Cristão Vida Abundante in Lisbon, Portugal, and attended Rhema Bible Church when visiting her family in the United States. She is remembered by her family and friends as a courageous and generous woman who loved Jesus, a loving mother and grandmother, and a committed friend. Ilda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Mário Amado Soares; her brother Joaquim José Ferreira Jr.; and her sister Rosa Alves Ribeiro. Ilda is survived by her daughter Isabel Maria Davies; her son-in-law Joseph William Davies, Jr; and her grandson Miguel José Davies. A memorial service at Rhema Bible Church is pending.
