Juanita Mae Morton, 72 passed away February 23, 2013 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born November 9, 1940 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ernest and Belva Davis. She was the youngest daughter of Ernest and Belva.Juanita attended Central High School. She earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Rogers State College and became one of the first four female Deputies to be deputized a Tulsa County Sheriffâ??s Deputy. Juanita retired from the Tulsa County Sheriffâ??s Department in 2003. At which time she started an insurance agency with her daughter.Juanita lived in Tulsa and Broken Arrow. On June 1, 1958, Harold Eugene and Juanita Mae were married.Juanita was a member of Immanuel Baptist. She was baptized at the age of 10 at Immanuel Baptist.She was a member of Fraternal Order of Police.The most important events in Juanitaâ??s life was meeting the love of her life at Skelly Stadium at 12 years old, her marriage, having her 4 children and becoming a deputy and an insurance agent. She enjoyed traveling and collecting Christmas decorations. Juanita enjoyed country music and her favorite singers and songs were Carrie Underwood â??Jesus Take The Wheelâ?, Bobby Vinton â??Blue Velvetâ?, Bing Crosby â??White Christmasâ?, Alabama â??Between The Two Of Themâ?, and Frank SinatraJuanita is survived by Husband Eugene Morton of 54 years, Twin older sister Onita Eleem of Catoosa, Ok., Older Sister Sue Harris of Phoenix, Az, Eldest daughter Annette Calvert of Riverside, Ca., daughter Laury Lashley of Tulsa, Ok., daughter Tracy Morton of Tulsa, Ok., son Randy Morton of Broken Arrow, Ok., Ten grandchildren, Nine great grandchildren, Many Loved Nieces and Nephews, Best friends Robert & Diana NealVisitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 27th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 28th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow.
