Orval Wayne Kinion

Orval Wayne Kinion, of Cleveland, Okla., passed away on Friday June 13th, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 77. He was born Feb. 11, 1931 in Mannford, Okla., the son of Benjamin and Nellie Kinion. He served in the United States Army for 23 years. He served two tours of duty in the Republic of Vietnam. After spending a career with the United States Postal Service, he retired in 2000. While with the Postal Service he served as the Administrative Vice President of the Tulsa branch of the Mailhandler’s Union. One of his pastimes was reading western genre especially books by Louis L’Amour and playing cards and dominoes. He and his wife Gisela lived in Cleveland for 35 years and raised three children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Nellie Kinion; brothers, Paul Huss, Loren Athens and Warren Kinion; and sisters, Pauline Bell, and Jessie Sneed Funeral services are scheduled at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Okla. at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday June 19, 2008Survived By: Survivors include his wife, Gisela Kinion, three children, daughter Natia Dyer and son-in-law Marshall Dyer of Broken Arrow, Okla.; son Steve Kinion and daughterin-law Dana Kinion of Springfield, Ill.; and daughter Caroll Boyle and son-in-law Chris Boyle of McKinney, Tex., and seven grandchildren Tiffany Campbell, Brent Campbell, Kendra Dyer, Ruth Kinion, Emma Kinion, Henry Kinion, and Reagan Boyle. He has one surviving sister Eve Kilner.
